VENTURE

2006 Tiara 2900 Open | Twin Volvo Penta D4-260 Diesels | Stuart, Florida

VENTURE is a 2006 Tiara 2900 Open, the final model year of the 2900. She has the optional twin Volvo Penta D4-260 diesels, and fewer diesel 2900s come to market than gas boats. She has a dark blue hull, a hardtop with full enclosure, and a service history documented from bow to stern. Both the engines and the generator are in very good condition.

What sets her apart:

Dark blue hull, a color that stands out among the white and pale hulls of her year.

Twin Volvo Penta D4-260 diesels (520 hp combined) on ZF 63A gears at 2.04:1, with 783 / 787 hours.

Westerbeke 5 kW diesel generator with 160 hours.

Hardtop with full enclosure; the isinglass is in excellent condition.

Teak and holly cabin sole, marine air conditioning, enclosed head with shower.

Easy to run:

Common-rail diesels with electronic engine management. They start easily, run quietly and burn less fuel than the gas 2900s.

About 1.4–1.6 mpg at cruise, for long range on 200 gallons. On a 120-mile run at 2,750 rpm, she held about 23 mph burning about 14 gph.

Electric windlass with helm and foot controls, so one person can anchor.

The bridge deck rises electrically for full engine room access.

Large, unobstructed cockpit with transom door and coaming bolsters.

Upgrades beyond factory spec:

Garmin GPSMAP 1243xsv chartplotter/sounder, with Garmin radar.

The original hardtop spotlight has been replaced with a large LED light bar spanning nearly the full width of the hardtop, for a modern look and far better night lighting.

All batteries replaced in 2025.

Fireboy automatic fire suppression system, inspected January 2026.

Spare set of propellers included.

Maintenance and records:

Every service on VENTURE is documented, and the records go with the boat.

Engines: filters and fluids serviced about 30 hours ago.

ZF transmissions: serviced about 9 hours ago.

Generator: serviced within the last three months.

Hull: bottom painted December 2025, full detail and wax January 2026, bottom cleaned monthly.
