The first Robalo was a 19-foot centre console and among the first boats anywhere with an unsinkable hull. Brunswick owned the name from 1991 and had all but stopped building by 2001, when Marine Products Corporation bought it; it is made now in the same Nashville, Georgia plant as Chaparral.
