Russell Post had already co-founded Egg Harbor when he opened his own yard on the Great Egg Harbor River in 1957, building Jersey-style fishing boats. The 42 Sportfish he drew in 1974 is the one the name is remembered for. More than 750 boats in a dozen models were built before production stopped in 2008.
