The oil shortages of the seventies are the reason this boat exists: Jerry Husted worked out that a tug is efficient at low speed, and designer Lynn Senour agreed to draw one on condition he had a free hand below the waterline. The 26 launched at the January 1980 Seattle Boat Show and sold thirty-seven boats off the stand.
