Harry Hallberg started building at fourteen and was among the first anywhere to series-build GRP hulls with wooden superstructures. Christoph Rassy, a Bavarian, moved to Sweden in the early sixties and bought Hallberg's old yard — they were competitors, never partners, until Hallberg retired in 1972 and Rassy joined the two. The Rasmus 35 of 1966 is where the sheltered centre cockpit comes from.
