Reggie Fountain raced his first boat at fourteen and won the Formula One world championship in 1976 and 1977 before opening a yard in an abandoned used-car dealership on the Pamlico River. Eight people and $515,000 of sales in the first year; the 10 Meter Executioner of 1980 made the name.
