Sabre's dealers wanted a smaller downeast cruiser — the look of a Maine lobster boat with the simplicity of one diesel — so Sabre started a second company in 2003 to build it. That was the Back Cove 29. Around a hundred boatbuilders in a 240,000-square-foot yard, and more than 750 boats afloat.
